Duisburg, June 27, 2025. PCC Thorion GmbH presented itself to customers and industry enthusiasts at the Advanced Automotive Battery Conference (AABC) 2025. The renowned trade fair for battery technology took place from June 23 to 26 in Mainz, Germany. The company had its own booth to showcase its latest innovations and solutions in the field of silicon-based components for lithium-ion batteries.

Conference attendees had the opportunity to learn firsthand about sustainable battery materials for lithium-ion batteries developed specifically by PCC Thorion GmbH, which lead to significant performance improvements and greater safety of battery cells. Particular attention was paid to the silicon-based anode active material with a specific capacity of up to 1,800 mAh/g and PFAS-free electrolyte additives that can replace the currently standard FEC additive. Experts from PCC Thorion GmbH exchanged views with interested parties from various companies in the industry on the state of the art technology and the future of the industry.
